HOW AND WHY PRESIDENT TRUMP CAN PULL U.S. OUT OF U.N. GLOBAL WARMING SCARES
Policy

Posted 3 December 2016

"As long as America remains an active participant in the [UN Framework Convention on Climate Change], future administrations will be under pressure to ratify new Convention agreements, and billions of dollars will continue to be wasted. The President-elect must put a final and definite end to America's involvement in the U.N. climate scare by formally withdrawing from the root cause of the problem - the hopelessly flawed [FCCC]."  Tom Harris, of the International Climate Science Coalition writes at the Daily Caller

CHINA BURNS MORE COAL TO AVOID ELECTRICITY BLACKOUTS
Policy

Posted 3 December 2016

"China is scrambling to mine and burn more coal. A lack of stockpiles and worries about electricity blackouts are spurring Chinese officials to reverse curbs that once helped reduce coal production. Mines are reopening. Miners are being lured back with fatter paychecks. China's response to coal scarcity shows how hard it will be to wean the country off coal." Keith Bradsher writes in the New York Times.

NASA SHOWS LAND TEMPERATURES DOWN OVER 1C SINCE MIDDLE OF THIS YEAR
Science

Posted 28 November 2016

"Global average temperatures over land have plummeted by more than 1C since the middle of this year - their biggest and steepest fall on record. The news comes amid mounting evidence that the recent run of world high temperatures is about to end. The fall, revealed by NASA satellite measurements in the lower atmosphere, has been caused by the end of El Nino - the warming of surface waters in a vast area of the Pacific [ocean] west of Central America." This report just in from  David Rose in the UK Daily Mail.

SCIENCE IS A PROCESS OF DISCOVERY, NOT AN END RESULT
Science

Posted 28 November 2016

"The climate-change debate has many people wondering whether we should really turn over public policy  - which deals with fundamental matters of human freedom - to a state-appointed scientific establishment. Must moral imperatives give way to the judgement of technical experts in natural sciences? Shoild we trust their authorioty? Their power? There is a real history here to consult. The integration of governmental policy and scientific establishments has reinforced bad science and yielded ghastly policies."  Earlier this year, Jeffrey Tucker, posted at the Foundation for Economic Education an article explaining that science is a process of discovery not an end result.

LARGE HADRON COLLIDER SCIENTISTS CAST DOUBT ON GLOBAL WARMING FEARS
Science

Posted 25 November 2016

"Mankind's burning of fossil fuels may not be the primary cause of global warming, according to the shock results of a new study by scientists behind the Large Hadron Collider (LCH).  Boffins from CERN have also discovered projected temperatiure increases over the next century may have been over estimated. Researchers founbd trees may have been putting similar aerocols into the air as burning fossil fueld, lomng befiore ther industrial resolution, meaning humans may have less impact on the climate than we thought."  -Jon Austin, writing in the UK Daily Express.

ELECTION WIN BY DONALD TRUMP HAS CHILLED JOHN KERRY'S ANTARCTIC TRIP
Policy

Posted 22 November 2016

"In a truly historic political climate change the nation [America] elected a skeptical new President who believes 'There is still much that needs to be investigated in the field of climate change.' Rather than waste more financial resources [trying to prevent what has been occurring for billions of years] 'We must decide on how best to proceed to that we can make lives better, safer and more prosperous.'"  U.S. Professor Larry Bell writes on how the election of Donald Trump as U.S. President-elect will impact the issue of so-called global warming (a.k.a. climate change).
